lostmaincopy2.jpgA few weeks ago, I started preaching about the LOST. I think this video does a great job about what what it means for Jesus to come this earth. Seeking and saving that which was LOST…

Spiritual Journal Ezekiel 3:18-21

August 15, 2007

Spiritual Insight:

Ezekiel 3:18-21 If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die from his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delievered your soul.” ESV

Life Application:

What an honor that we have to be an ambassador for Jesus Christ. Representing His likeness to a lost world filled with unrighteous thinking and attitudes. My only hope is that I don’t fail Him. His message is plain and clear; repent and have life – don’t and you will face judgement. After all that Christ has done for me, all he asks now is that I live for Him and tell others about how they might have the free pardon of sin through repentance and faith. If I don’t then I am guilty of keeping information that can set a soul free from their bondage of sin.

Prayer

Lord, give me the opportunity today to share Jesus with someone. Give me the strength to speak and to not be guilty in your eyes by not spreading your Word. In the wonderful name of Jesus… Amen.

Here am I Lord, send me!

dsc00298.jpgLast Sunday we had the wonderful priviledge to see a man publicly surrender his life by answering the call to preach! Randy Watkins, who also teaches the Missionaries Messengers Sunday School class, decided that he would quit battling the Lord’s will for his life. This past Sunday we presented Randy with a licence to preach the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. It was a sobering experiance as members of his family, Sunday School class and deacons surrounded him by placing hands upon him and having a word of prayer. Standing there with Randy reminded me of the passage of Isaiah 6. As Isaiah stood in the very presence of our Lord, God asked who will go and be my messenger. Isaiah said here I am send me. Randy answered the call by saying send me Lord.

Dr. Ray Brooks once said, God is calling men into the ministry, but men aren’t answering. I think all preachers can relate to that. Pray with me for Randy and pray that more men will answer the call to preach!
